I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore whatever thoughts, feelings, or challenges you may be experiencing. Life can be complex, and as humans, we all face moments—big or small—that leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused, or unsure of how to cope.

At Taūla Clinic, you will be supported without judgment. Together, we will explore your concerns and use therapeutic approaches to understand your unmet needs. Your therapy will be guided by you, focusing on finding solutions and strategies that work for you. This process is designed not only to help you navigate the challenges you are facing now but also to strengthen your ability to manage difficulties in the future.

I am now offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as part of my practice. EMDR is an evidence-based approach designed to help individuals process and recover from trauma, distressing life experiences, and anxiety-related difficulties. By supporting the brain’s natural healing processes, EMDR can reduce the emotional impact of past events and promote lasting psychological wellbeing. If you’re interested in learning more about whether EMDR may be right for you, feel free to get in touch.

Note: Young people aged 25 years or younger may be eligible for two-funded sessions, contact me for more information.  ACC or WINZ funded therapy may also be available for eligible clients.

Cultural Supervision at Taūla Clinic specializes in Pacific cultural competence within the Aotearoa New Zealand context.  With a large Pacific population in New Zealand, both Pacific and non-Pacific professionals would benefit from empirical and evidence-based knowledge, collaborative approaches and an understanding of Pacific cultures and world views.

Pacific cultures, belief systems and values generally encompass key principles such as respect, love, service and reciprocity. For the majority of Pacific peoples, good health is perceived as a balanced state of physical, spiritual, mental, familial and relational wellbeing, that is, more than just an absence of disease. An individual’s identity, health and well being are often dependent on family connections, heritage, roles and responsibilities.

Cultural Supervision aims to develop knowledge and skills of Pasifika professionals and all professionals who work alongside Pasifika  people, communities, clients and their families.

With more than 20 years of experience in Health, Disability, Education, Not-for-Profit, Community and Youth work, I can offer guidance and support through Advocacy, Consultancy , Advice and Community Education.    Formal assistance, resolution or support will often require a neutral, experienced therapeutic professional particularly when advocating for vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals in the community.  With a commitment to Social Justice and ethical practice, the Taūla Clinic aims to ensure individuals and families are informed of their Rights and responsibilities. I endeavour to ensure that my clients are aware of potential options and available resources that will reduce risks in their current context and improve their quality of life.

All support is tailored to match specific needs and requirements of my clients and community partners.  Please contact Taūla Clinic here to discuss support options for vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals in your community.

Community Education Workshops can be provided on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on availability of the presenter and/or trainer.

The Taula clinic is proud to support the Pacific Family Partnership Foundation (PFPF) here. They are a family-focused organization with specialist knowledge and advocacy skills that focus on Pacific and Maori families experiencing challenges due to disability-related and health-related concerns.  Please click the link to request more information and support from the PFPF.  Also see our other resources  guide to find links to more useful services.
