Counselling Therapy is a safe and confidential space to explore and address issues or concerns that you may be experiencing or thinking about often. As humans, we are constantly challenged by our own thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences and environments. Sometimes we are faced by little or major challenges that can result in feeling unable to cope, confused or completely overwhelmed. At the Taūla Clinic we offer a safe space to explore your issues and concerns using therapeutic techniques and approaches to understand your unmet needs. Your therapist will support you to find solutions that work for you. This way, your therapy will be tailored to meet your needs and build your ability to deal with the identified problems now and in the future.
Note: Young people aged 25 years or younger may be eligible for two-funded sessions, contact us for more information. ACC or WINZ funded therapy may also be available for eligible clients.

Cultural Supervision at Taūla Clinic specializes in Pacific cultural competence in the Aotearoa New Zealand context. With a large Pacific population in New Zealand, both Pacific and non-Pacific professionals would benefit from empirical and evidence-based knowledge, collaborative approaches and an understanding of Pacific cultures and world views.
Pacific cultures, belief systems and values generally encompass key principles such as respect, love, service and reciprocity. For the majority of Pacific peoples, good health is perceived as a balanced state of physical, spiritual, mental, familial and relational wellbeing, that is, more than just an absence of disease. An individual’s identity, health and well being are often dependent on family connections, heritage, roles and responsibilities.
Cultural Supervision aims to develop knowledge and skills of Pasifika professionals and all professionals who work alongside Pasifika people, communities, clients and their families.
With more than 20 years of experience in Health, Disability, Education, Not-for-Profit, Community and Youth work, Taūla Clinic therapists can offer guidance and support through Advocacy, Consultancy services, Advice and Community Education. Formal assistance, resolution or support will often require a neutral, experienced therapeutic professional particularly when advocating for vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals in the community. With a commitment to Social Justice and ethical practice, the Taūla Clinic aims to ensure individuals and families are informed of their Rights and responsibilities. We endeavour to ensure they they are also aware of potential options and the available resources that will reduce risks in their current context and improve their quality of life.
All support is tailored to match specific needs and requirements of our clients and community partners. Please contact Taūla Clinic here to discuss support options for vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals in your community.
Community Education Workshops can be provided on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on availability of the presenter and/or trainer.
